WHICH FENCE DO I NEED?
Look at the listing of fence types in the column on the far left and click on the category that most closely matches your particular needs. You can also click on the icons to the left of this column. You'll be taken to a page with diagrams, detailed specifications, and recommended choices for the fencing that will suit your situation.
You should look for a fence that matches your budget, but keep in mind changes in your future requirements. Remember you can put cattle behind a deer fence, but not deer behind a cattle fence.

ABOUT FENCE SPECIFICATIONS
The numbered specification for each fence describes:
- The number of line (horizontal) wires
- Fence height in inches
- The spacing between stay (vertical) wires
- The length of the fence roll in feet
For example, 2096-6-330 is a fence with 20 line wires, 96 inches tall, with 6 inch spacings between the vertical stay wires, and is 330 feet long.
HORIZONTAL (LINE WIRE) SPACING:
The spacing of the line wires varies depending on the application. Fence with the tighter 3" (horizontal) spacing at the bottom of the fence provides "predator control." All but the smallest predators can't get in, and small animals (i.e. fawns or lambs) can't get out.
VERTICAL (STAY WIRE) SPACING:
The distance between the stay (vertical) wires is available in 3", 6", 12", or 24". Fence with a 6" stay spacing is the most common, however 3" is suited to higher pressure or higher security areas, whereas 12" or 24" can be sued in low pressure areas. The closer the stays the stronger the fence. The fence becomes fully "predator proof" with 3" spacings between the horizontal line wires and 3" spacings between the vertical stay wires.
