TRIM THE FENCE OUT

A)  Staple the fence to the wooden fence posts
Staple and clip the fence from the ground up if you are trying to control predators.

If you are trimming the fence to a height of 3-5 inches off the ground, trim from the top so that the fence has a smoother top finish.

Stapling fence wire to posts

Hammer all fence staples at an angle to ensure that the barbs on the staple get a good grip into the fence post’s wood grain. This also helps to stop any potential splitting of the post.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not hammer the staples completely into the wood. You must leave enough room to allow the wire fence fabric to slide freely under the staple. This enables the fence to flex upon impact by large animals, or when expansion and contraction of the fence occurs due to changing temperature.

B)  Attach the fence to the intermediate steel posts

Be sure to use only Class-3 galvanized clips to fasten our high-tensile wire to steel posts.

We recommend our fast and easy post clip system for fastening the fence wire to intermediate steel posts. Our system works with both t-posts and steel pipe (cylindrical) posts.

To fasten the clips on the post, slide the clip around the post and over the fence wire, then slide the tails of the clip into the holes in the special clip drill chuck. Use your drill to twist the ends of the clip tightly around the post.
